Direct Services -
Our goal is to support the development of strong, nurturing families and communities.

The realities of the new economy in which we live has affected us all in ways we never expected.  It also seems to have affected Latino Oregonians particularly hard.  For example, 1 in 3 Latinos in our area live with hunger; and 2 out of 5 Latinos in Oregon are without healthcare — many of them children.  It is difficult to create healthy environments for children in these conditions.  For this reason, Mano a Mano Family Center works to provide guidance, assistance and direct support to our clients dealing with life’s emergencies.

Through case management, information and referral to community resources, we work so that our clients will be…

  • Resilient – will be able to deal with and successfully overcome life’s challenges
  • Build positive social connections – develop and nurture healthy relationships, community connections, and to help them feel and be viewed as valued members of society
  • Have concrete access to support – they will know when, how and where to access the help they need
